About Chase Sekulich
The present accounting firm of Chase Sekulich Chartered Accountants began in August 1971 in Campbell River, Vancouver Island, BC when accountant Robert D. Crane acquired the sole proprietorship accounting practice from Mr. Dennis Hatch. Growth in the practice resulted in Raeburn J. Lawson joining the firm in October 1976 and Shari Magnusson in February 1983.
Derek Chase, Chartered Accountant, Trustee in Bankruptcy, CIRP, joined the firm in January 1993 and became a partner in 1995. Upon Mr. Crane's retirement the firm practiced as Lawson Magnusson Chase. Mr. Lawson retired effective May 2005 and both Mr. Crane and Mr. Lawson continue to reside in the Courtenay / Campbell River area of Vancouver Island.
Shannon Sekulich, Chartered Accountant, joined the firm in 2007 and became a partner in January of 2008 upon the retirement of Mrs. Magnusson.
The partners at Chase Sekulich Chartered Accountants are very much hands-on; large files are not delegated exclusively to staff. We also utilize a one tier review system, which means that a second person will check each file. This has produced exceptional quality control while preventing too many people from handling a file.
We have made a commitment to provide clients with accounting, income tax, bankruptcy, debt settlement and insolvency services on a timely basis. When a client provides all the information needed to complete a file, we should be able to give them an expected completion date. Should unforeseen difficulties occur, we would advise the client immediately. In addition, all partners are available for your enquiries should your preferred partner be out of the office. Messages will be returned within one working day.
Chase Sekulich Chartered Accountants have several offices. They are located in Campbell River and Courtenay / Comox on Vancouver Island and in Powell River on the Sunshine Coast of BC. We also have satellite offices in Gibsons and Terrace.
At Chase Sekulich Chartered Accountants we have extremely high standards in regards to confidentiality. All redundant documents are shredded and no information is released to a third party without the consent of the client. Computer data is password protected and daily backups are securely stored off-site.
